Andrew Jackson Killebrew

Son of Thomas and Wilmoth Buckley Killebrew. Enlisted March 1863, served with partisan unit "sent from Paris, Tennessee on Buffalow River on a scout up Tennessee River." Four or five months elapsed before first battle, at Bolivar. Served at Somerville, Estenaula (wounded), Brice's Crossroads, Okolona, Tupelo, Ft. Pillow, and Coonewah Creek (July 16, 1864). Discharged at Gainesville in May 1865. After the war, he farmed and resided at Grove, TN. Received a pension.

Born Dec 19, 1843; died October 8, 1925. Married Evelin Hodges Dec. 10, 1866; three children.

The Index to Tennessee Confederate Pension Applications shows that Tennessee pension application #13036 was filed by J.T. Killen of Gibson County for service with the 20th (Russell's) Cavalry.
