Weakley Co TN. Their children were Mary Susan Culberhouse (1858), Emma
Jane Callahan (1862), William W (1866), Ernest Lee (1870), Silas S
(1874), Effie Matilda Rowland (1876), and Julia M (1878). After the
war, the family moved to Johnson Co TX around 1873, settling finally
in Montague Co TX. He and his widow applied for a pension but the
claim was rejected due to AWOL status.

Library indicates that a pension applications were filed by E.A. Martin of
Camp and Montague Counties, but were rejected.

Malcolm A. McLane was born 4 September 1835 in Robeson Co., North
Carolina, and moved with his parents, Duncan and Effie McLane, to
Henry Co., Tennessee during the 1840s. He served in Co. A, 46th
Tennessee Infantry until the unit surrendered at Island #10 on 8 April
1862. The 46th was paroled at Vicksburg, Mississippi on 23 September
1862. He then served in Co. F of Russell's regiment. In the 1870s, the
family moved to Missouri and later to Lamar Co., Texas, where Malcolm
died 18 January 1900. Malcolm McLane married M.A.L. Culbreath in Henry
Co. She died during the war. November 10, 1864, also in Henry Co., he married
Sabra Phillips.

Creek. At time of Lee's surrender was on forage detail, and when heard
news went home. After war farmed, worked in sawmills and cotton gins,
and served as Magistrate of Weakley County. He was active in the
Agrarian Reform movement, serving as State President of the
Agricultural Wheel. Married twice, to Saluda Rowlett and Mary
Josephine Nix; 11 children. Died December 28, 1929. Received a pension.
J.R. Miles' brothers Abner, Richard, and Thomas were also in
Company I, as was his brother-in-law G.W.
